In addition, the surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunities for recreation. There are numerous walking paths, which are great to explore on your own, as well as more demanding mountainbike trails, mapped out in the Bergstrasse-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park.

EVENTS
Bergstraße has a lot to offer with various events. Whether open-air music festivals, city festivals or the famous Heppenheim Festival – there is always something to experience. Of course, the wine festivals in the region are always a special highlight.

BERGSTRÄSSER WINEs
2000 YEARS AGO, THE ROMANS DISCOVERED THE BEAUTY AND THE MILD CLIMATE OF THE “STRATA MONTANA”, THE “BERGSTRASSE”.
They planted the first vines on the sunlit hills of the region. Thus, on the slopes of the Odenwald, a wine-growing region has been created that has a lot to offer: Scenic beauty, medieval towns and a wine thriving in a pleasant climate.
