Sustainability only works if everyone participates. This basic idea motivates us at the Goldener Engel to regularly check whether and where we can bring together sustainability and hospitality at its best. For the benefit of the guest and the environment.
PURCHASING WITH RESPONSIBILITY
As you make your bed, so you must lie in it.
At Goldener Engel, we rely on a resource-conserving purchasing strategy and consciously select our suppliers and service providers according to environmental and sustainability aspects. For example, we only purchase climate-neutral electricity from renewable sources and climate-neutrally produced and processed rental linen from a certified supplier – under hand and seal. And of course, we use energy-saving LED lighting in our rooms and operations. We want to curb the environmental impact of the “receipt sharing obligation” by introducing new cash register receipts. The new paper is FSC-certified from responsible forestry, 100% free of chemical color enhancers and can be disposed via waste paper recycling.

We at Goldener Engel love regional products and their short supply chains and routes. We also make sure to question cultivation methods, transport routes and working conditions around the product and, if necessary, sometimes even do without an ingredient. But what we enjoy most is serving you fresh and local delicacies. That’s why we are constantly expanding our network of regional partners and service providers.

At the Goldener Engel we always try to harmonize perfect hospitality with resource-saving actions in our everyday life. This starts with waste avoidance, for example by not using plastic packaging on the buffet and in the kitchen area, and ends with sensible portioning on the buffet.
