Museum Heppenheim
Museum of Urban History and Folklore
The museum is located in the Kurmainzer Amtshof, one of the oldest buildings in Heppenheim. With modern didactic claim the exhibition areas present themselves to the city history and folklore. Changing special exhibitions complete the offer.
A supporting program with changing special exhibitions, lectures, readings, film screenings, cabaret and action days complements and broadens the museum’s cultural offer.
School classes, children and youth groups have the opportunity to experience the museum through guided tours, quiz and role-playing games, project days as well as through the use of small cinema and foam magazine as a place of learning and work.
Companies, clubs and associations can use the premises of the museum for receptions, presentations and meetings in a sophisticated atmosphere. A visit to the Kurfürstendaal with a Gothic angelic fresco and Renaissance murals in the Amtshof is also possible by arrangement.
